Forestry Commission Scotland are providing grant aid for woodland creation and management under the Scottish Rural Development Programme.
The Glasgow and Clyde Valley Forestry and Woodland Strategy (FWS) is one of a suite of Background Reports which support Clydeplan, the regional Strategic Development Plan.
The FWS Vision states that:
“By 2035, expanded networks of woodland in the Clydeplan area will contribute to a competitive and successful economy; healthy and empowered communities; and a rich and resilient environment”
The Strategy provides broad locational and environmental guidance to those seeking to manage or expand woodlands including public agencies and local authorities, landowners, forest managers and agents, private sector businesses and communities.
Proposals to the fund must demonstrate that they are in line with the FWS. More information can be found at: http://scotland.forestry.gov.uk/supporting/grants-and-regulations
