New web pages launched for Seven Lochs Wetland Park

The Seven Lochs Wetland Park is an exciting new Green Network project spanning the Glasgow and North Lanarkshire boundary. It aims to create a new wetland park of national significance, linked to a wider network of greenspaces.

New web pages to support consultation on the draft Seven Lochs Wetland Park vision and masterplan have now been launched. The webpages make the masterplan available for download, and include consultation questions and feedback forms which can be submitted on-line. To visit the new website click here.

We are also running a number of consultation workshops/discussions:

23rd November, 7 - 9pm at Gartcosh Community Centre, G69 2AB

1st December, Coatbridge Community Forum, 7pm at Coatbridge High School, ML5 3NP

7th December, 12 - 2pm at Blairtummock House, G34 9EE

8th December, 12 - 2pm, 229 George St, G1 1RX

10th December, 11am - 3pm at Glenboig Community Centre, ML5 2QT

These will be an opportunity to find out more about the proposed park, and give us your feedback on the masterplan proposals.

Integrating Green Infrastructure (IGI) Design Study Competition

Last year exemplary Design Studies for four major regeneration sites and community growth areas were completed for the GCV Green Network Partnership. The Design Studies have been very well received by our partner local authorities who plan to use them when masterplanning the developments, and by Scottish Government. One of our Design Studies has led to selection of the study site for the SSCI Charrette Mainstreaming Programme 2011. The Design Studies can be downloaded here.
