Providing opportunities for local communities to get involved in the development of their local Green Network is a key aim of the Partnership. Through our Stronger Communities thematic projects communities will benefit from the Green Network because it will:

• provide well-designed, sustainable places in which to live
• empower local communities to take ownership and help create the safe, attractive places that they want
• provide spaces that people can be proud of and which will help develop a community spirit
