Greenspace & Biodiversity Overview
Biodiversity enhancement is a key aim for the GCV Green Network Partnership. Many of our projects hail the importance of protecting habitats within greenspace environments and finding opportunities to enhance these habitats.
It is vital that people, wildlife and the environment will benefit from the Green Network because it:
- creates diverse habitats, linking across the metropolitan region
- reduces human impact on the environment, and
- reduces the impact of climate change on the urban population
