Access Priorities Mapping Overview
When identifying which baseline datasets would be used to inform the Green Network Opportunities Mapping, access to the Green Network was considered to be a key component of the analysis.
Having already developed the Networks for People Model with Forest Research, which is similar in nature to the Integrated Habitat Network Model, the same analytical approach which was developed for habitat prioritisation, was applied to developing Access Priorities Mapping.
In effect the outputs show which communities are most disconnected from the Green Network and are therefore a priority for action.
