Our Partnership is working to make the city region a better place.
Through an enhanced environment the GCV Green Network will transform the lives of thousands of people and contribute to the attraction of inward investment, making the Glasgow city-region a much more vibrant, resilient and successful place.
Since our formation we have been a champion of the Green Network Vision and have led the way with strategic planning for Green Network delivery. Below is our latest Showcasing the Partnership Video highlighting our most recent case studies:
About the Central Scotland Green Network
Creation of the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) is one of 14 National Developments in the Scottish Government’s National Planning Framework.
The Green Network aims to change the face of Central Scotland through a programme of strategic greenspace enhancements “to achieve multiple benefits as it increasingly delivers transformational projects on the ground” (NPF3).
The Glasgow & Clyde Valley (GCV) Green Network is a significant regional component of the CSGN covering a third of the CSGN area and is home to 50% of its population.
About the Partnership
Formed in 2006 the partnership brings together eight regional local authorities and five government agencies. Its role is to bring about delivery of the GCV Green Network. The partnership employs a small Executive Team to deliver a work programme of strategic and exemplar projects.
